World’s Largest Green Hydrogen Plant release first-ever footage after achieving more than 80% Construction Completion across all sites
Construction of our green hydrogen plant is advancing rapidly, with milestone equipment being received and installed, including wind turbines, hydrogen storage vessels, electrolysers, the cold box and pipe racks. To mark this achievement, we have released the first-ever public footage of the project, offering a rare look at the scale and progress on the ground. We are proud to report that we have reached more than 80% completion at the start of Q1 2025 across all sites – the green hydrogen facility, the wind garden, the solar farm and the transmission grid.
Located at Oxagon in NEOM, the project remains on track, with 4 GW of solar and wind power generation set for completion by mid 2026, followed by commissioning of the electrolysers and first product availability in 2027. This pioneering facility will produce up to 600 tonnes per day of carbonfree hydrogen in the form of green ammonia for global export, providing a blueprint for largescale production in a nascent industry that is critical to achieving netzero goals.
